Who Am I?
My name is Cody Wilcoxon. I am a 3D artist with a passion for character rigging and tool development. My mission is to bring motion to the motionless and bring life to the next generation of characters in games and cartoons.
I graduated the Art Institute of Pittsburgh from the Media Arts and Animation program in 2012. I returned that summer as an adjunct instructor where I taught for over four years. In 2017, I moved to Seattle, Washington and began to work for the University of Washington’s Animation Capstone program. With a team of talented staff and students alike, we worked year-round to simultaneously teach students the basics of Maya while creating an animated short film for festivals. My responsibilities ranged from pipeline management, tool production, the creation of auto-rigging scripts, and modeling some of the main characters.
In 2021, I worked on an indie game production for a company called OMG on a game called Spellcraft, and at the end of the year, I joined the Narrative teams for Destiny 2 at Bungie, where I worked on characters for Cinematic and NPC animation.
